The ehallpass app was created in 2014 by two high school students. The app was built to help solve a problem at their local school where students would form lines outside the office during passing period. Alan Stoneman and Scott Theiss were the first staff members of ehallpass, but now there are over 200 schools using them across 14 states!

Ehallpass was created in 2014 by Alan Stoneman and Scott Theiss. The duo created ehallpass to solve a problem at their local high school where students would form lines outside the office during passing period.

After graduating from college, both Alan and Scott moved back home and started working for the same company where they had interned for years before.

The need for ehallpass came up when the founder of the app, Ken Kim, was running late for class and had to wait in line at his school’s front office. While waiting in line he realized there were several other students who were also suffering from this same problem, so he decided to make an app that could help them find their classes easier.
