Chris Eubank Jr on his past, the experiences that shaped him and being ‘born with that fire to fight’

It’s hard to believe that Chris Eubank Jr is still only 29 years old. After all, he has been a top professional boxer for more than 15 years now, and he’s had plenty of hardships along the way. But Eubank remains resolute and optimistic about his future, which is why we sat down over tea to discuss his past experiences and how they shaped him into the fighter he is today…

‘You have a choice, you can either focus on the positives or you can focus on the negatives.’

“You have a choice,” Eubank Jr says. “You can either focus on the positives or you can focus on the negatives.”

The fighter’s mantra is a simple one: if you choose to focus on the positives, then success will follow; if not, failure will be your lot in life. It’s an idea that has been instilled in him since childhood and one that he has carried with him throughout his career as both an athlete and presenter.

“If I look back at my career so far,” Eubank Jr continues, “I’ve had many ups and downs but I always come out stronger because I’m able to learn from my experiences.”

‘I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth’

Eubank Jr is the son of former world champion boxer Chris Eubank and his third wife, Karron. He grew up in a tough neighborhood in Brighton, England, and had to fight for everything he got.

“I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth,” he says. “My mum worked two jobs just so we could eat.”

He also describes his childhood as being “very difficult” because of all the pressure that came with being the son of such an accomplished athlete–and one who was determined to make sure that his son became equally successful at boxing:

‘Fighting is what I’ve done since I was a kid.’

You may know him as the son of British boxing legend Chris Eubank Sr, but there’s more to Chris Eubank Jr than just his lineage. The 28-year-old has been a professional boxer since he was 15 years old and has gone on to compete in some of the biggest fights in Britain over the past decade.

He’s also had plenty of experience under his belt: He first won his first title at age 17; he beat former world champion Billy Joe Saunders 24-1 on points in 2018; and he holds an impressive record of 22 wins (19 by knockout) from 26 fights since turning pro back in 2010.

‘I don’t want to be that guy who chokes it up and says, “I’m going to prove everyone wrong.” The best way I can prove everyone wrong is by proving myself right.’

Eubank Jr has been a top professional boxer for more than 15 years. He was born with the fire to fight, and he started boxing at an early age. He has fought over 100 times in his career–more than any other British fighter–and he’s known for his aggressive style of fighting.

Eubank Jr is not just one of the best boxers in the world; he also acts as a role model for young people everywhere. The way he carries himself sets an example: no matter what you do or where you come from, if you have confidence in yourself and stay positive then anything is possible!

Chris Eubank Jr has been a top professional boxer for more than 15 years.

Born in 1992, he won the British super middleweight title in 2009 and went on to win the British middleweight title in 2011, before claiming both European and Commonwealth titles at 168 pounds (76 kg). He then moved up another weight division again and took his third national crown as well as defending it twice (once against Billy Joe Saunders) en route to becoming a household name in England.

In 2013 Eubank Jr moved up yet again and fought for WBA ‘Interim’ World Super Middleweight Champion status against Arthur Abraham; losing via unanimous decision after 12 rounds but showing good boxing ability throughout despite being unable to finish off his opponent or gain any momentum towards victory due mostly due poor conditioning which has plagued him throughout his career so far

Conclusion

I’m a fighter, I was born to fight. That’s all I’ve ever done in my life and it’s what I love doing. The one thing that would be amazing is if I can get to the top of my game again, get back into title contention and then win another world championship. That would be amazing!
