It was a scary experience for Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant (22), who is recovering at the Himalayan Institute Hospital in Dehradun after a road accident, has issued his first statement. Injured in a car crash on Yamuna Expressway on Sunday, Rishabh tweeted: “I was travelling to Delhi from Rudrapur in Uttarakhand with my family when we met with an accident on the Yamuna Expressway. I am thankful to God that my family and I are safe.”

“I would like to thank everyone for their prayers, good wishes and kind words,” he said on Wednesday. “I am doing fine now and recovering fast.”

“I was travelling to Delhi from Rudrapur in Uttarakhand with my family when we met with an accident on the Yamuna Expressway. I am thankful to God that my family and I are safe. Injured in a car crash on Yamuna Expressway.”

Rishabh Pant has issued a statement on his Instagram account, thanking God for the safety of himself and his family after they met with an accident on the Yamuna Expressway.

The cricketer said that he was travelling to Delhi from Rudrapur in Uttarakhand with his family when they met with an accident on the Yamuna Expressway. “I am thankful to God that my family and I are safe,” he wrote on Instagram.

“Injured in a car crash on Yamuna Expressway,” he added while sharing pictures of himself lying down in hospital bed with bandages around his head and arm respectively.

Rishabh Pant is a cricketer who plays for India. He is a left-handed batsman, wicketkeeper and occasional off-spinner.

Pant made his international debut for India on 4 December 2018 in the first One Day International (ODI) against Australia at Visakhapatnam. In this match he scored 76 runs from 86 balls with seven fours and one six before being dismissed by Nathan Coulter-Nile in India’s total of 303/9.[1] He was later named man of the match after scoring an unbeaten century in the second ODI which helped India win by 3 wickets.[2] This was his first ODI century and also became only third Indian wicketkeeper after MS Dhoni (2007) & Parthiv Patel (2010) to score centuries before turning 20 years old.[3][4]
